Singer, songwriter and recording artist Ken Stevens is a native of Richfield, Utah and is churning out the tunes. He is revitalizing a distinctive and refreshing brand of acoustic, folk, western music that is attracting listeners and fans all across the Unites States and Canada as well as in 13 foreign countries.
Ken has been playing venues throughout the intermountain West. He has performed on the same stage in tandem with Michael Martin Murphy, RW Hampton, Sons of the San Joaquin, Baxter Black, Belinda Gail, Curley Musgrave, Waddie Mitchell and numerous others. His first album “Ridin’ “ was ranked in the top ten Western Music Albums by the Academy of Western Artists and was nominated for album of the year by the Academy.
In addition, two tunes on the album, ‘Clear Creek is Running Muddy Tonight’ and ‘Cattle Up the Trail’ were nominated for song of the year by the Academy. His hopes are ridin’ even higher for his latest CD “A Cowboy’s Life” which sold more copies in the first four weeks of distribution than “Ridin’ “ sold in the first six months of its release. ‘Colors’, a song from the second album, was ranked in the top 10 Western Music songs and went all the way to number one.
